VINTAGE NOTES
After an intense 2008 vintage, the relaxed nature of 2009 was welcome. With only a few frost events in Spring and a warm beginning to June we were able to sleep more soundly. Overall rainfall was down 35% on the norm but seemed to be well timed just when the vines needed it. Mother nature painted the perfect picture for the vintage and the wine shows this. Well balanced with dense fruit and plush tannins, this wine has a broad fruit profile of blackberry and plum, finishing with integrated tannins and allspice.
